In november 1998, kaha for processed food was privatized and its shares listed on the stock exchange under the brand name "kaha" auf group, a private investment grup obtaiined a controlling inter est in the company.

The company manufactures and distributes premiun quality nutritions food products principally under kaha, al ahram and jazeera brand names. It's the lagest producer of canned fruits and vegetables in egypt and the middle east. The company believed that the wide range of its products provides a competitive advantage in rreaching retail grocery customers.

Kaha sells its products through national retailer chains and independent stores. It also sells to warehouse stores, mass merchandisers, and larger merchandising outlets that include full grocery sections, such as sainsbury, s. Kaha also sells its tomato concentrate fruit pulp and puree to food prcessors. The company exports 25% of its products and concentrates to ove 32 countries around the world.

Under anew senior management team, kaha has implemented new strategies including:
